Don — what do you want changed?

This is the first-person version of the biography, written from the October copy draft. It says "I bought my own cymbals", "I keep the numbers small enough that I can still be good at it". That second line is my addition, not yours — it is a line about staying good at teaching, and you may not want it on a website.

Read the About page aloud. Anywhere you would not say it that way, tell me and I will rewrite it in your voice.

這是十月草稿改寫的第一人稱版本. 「我把人數控制在還能教好的範圍」這句是我加的, 不是你的話 — 如果你不想讓這句出現在網站上, 說一聲我就改.

Every year on the timeline, every credential, every number. The ages, the dates, the "1,000+ gigs", the "15 years", the two studios, the 金鼓獎 division and date. I have flagged the ones I am least sure about on the pages themselves, but I want you to check all of it.

Anything wrong here goes live in your name. Tell me the corrections and I will fix them everywhere — the website, the newsletter, the press page, the charts, all of it.

Right now the Lessons page shows every price, including the 4-pack and 12-pack totals. Some teachers deliberately hide fees behind "enquire" — it filters out tyre-kickers but loses parents who wanted a number before they wrote. Your call. The numbers themselves also need checking; they came from the October draft and I have not confirmed them with you.

Things that might deserve their own page: a dedicated FAQ, a workshop page, a separate page for each chart, an online-students page, a "book a band" page for functions and corporate work, a jazz-clinics page, a Chinese-only landing page for the Taiwan market.

The current direction is warm paper, ink black, bronze accent, a serif for headings. It is meant to feel like a craftsman's studio — a music shop, not a software company. Deliberately not: bright gradients, rounded cards, stock photography, icons on every heading.

Two alternatives I could build instead: darker and more performance-led (near-black, concert lighting, the gear as hero) or warmer and more handmade (more paper texture, more of your charts and handwriting as the visual language). Say which and I will build it.

All the 繁中 copy is written in Taiwan-standard written Chinese, and I have kept the tone plain rather than formal. But you are the one who has to read it to a parent in Kaohsiung, and the Chinese title — 高雄爵士鼓教室 — is a proposal, not a decision.

Alternatives: Don Chi 爵士鼓工作室 (studio), Don Chi 鼓室 (short and warm), or simply Don Chi on its own with 高雄爵士鼓教室 as a subtitle. Also tell me whether you want 教學 vs 教室 vs 工作室 — they carry slightly different weight in Taiwan.

所有繁中都是台灣的書面語, 語氣偏白話. 但中文標題「高雄爵士鼓教室」是提案, 不是定案. 另外請告訴我: 教室 / 工作室 / 鼓室, 這三個在台灣的意思不太一樣.

Right now the wordmark is just Don Chi, with 高雄爵士鼓教室 · Kaohsiung underneath it. Your call whether the subtitle stays, changes, or goes away.

One practical thing worth your attention: donchi.com is already taken by someone else. The plan is to build on donchidrums.com and buy donchi.tw and donchi.com.tw as well, redirecting them. But that is a decision with a bill attached, and it is yours to make.

現在的字標只有「Don Chi」, 下面是「高雄爵士鼓教室 · Kaohsiung」. 另外: donchi.com 已經被別人註冊了, 所以計畫用 donchidrums.com, 再買 donchi.tw 與 donchi.com.tw 轉址過去. 這個要花錢, 由你決定.

Every photo slot on these pages is a placeholder. I need from you:

• A portrait — neutral background, 2400×3000px, looking at the camera
• You at the kit — mid-groove, one cymbal catching light
• The kit itself — shot from the player's seat
• Each studio — the room, the chart library, the recording setup
• One group lesson — with parents' permission
• A 60-second video — you playing, for the homepage
• A 90-second video — you reading and playing Backbeat Highway

Phone camera, natural light, no production. That is genuinely enough.

This is the most important one. Read the pages the way a parent would — sceptically — and tell me what made you wince. Pricing that feels too cheap, a claim that feels too big, a line that sounds like a brochure, something that is not really how you teach.

I would rather rewrite it now than defend it later.
